Grow it Local launched in March 2012 as a pilot project in Waverley Council to celebrate and encourage backyard, balcony, community and windowsill food farming. It’s about local food production, bringing people together and having a little fun!
Grow It Local has gone from strength to strength. We introduced the Grow It Local concept of ‘Crowd Farming’ working alongside the TEDxSydney team to feed an audience of 2,200 people for a day at The Sydney Opera House in May.
